The Genomic Sciences and Precision Medicine Center (GSPMC) at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is one of the few CLIA-certified laboratories in the United States that offers WGS (whole genome sequencing) and WES (whole exome sequencing) testing as diagnostic tests.
According to GSPMC specifics, enGenome developed and deployed, on MCW cluster resources, different bioinformatics workflows to support the clinical routine of NGS-based DNA tests for hereditary diseases as well as genomic research.
The installed workflows have been tested in situ, validated for technical and precision approvals, for clinical-based regulatory agencies (CAP & CLIA), and related Center approvals, before switchover.
The result of this successful project was the definition of a robust and accurate environment for clinical data analysis and research for basic and clinical investigators.
